[THE ROLE]

What this work looks like

Vantir software engineers build production-grade systems for clients and for the companies we start in the Foundry. That means TypeScript and Python, sound cloud architecture, and the taste to ship something a founder or a client can run, not a pile of tickets.

You'll move between consulting engagements and venture building. The bar is the same: code that lasts, decisions you can defend, and delivery that doesn't wait for perfect conditions.

What you'll do

Design, build, and operate services and product surfaces across TypeScript, Python, and cloud.
Make architecture choices that match the stage: an MVP for a venture, a durable platform for a client, without confusing the two.
Ship with founders and client teams in the room, pairing, reviewing, and transferring ownership.
Raise the engineering bar: testing, observability, and simplicity as default, not as a later phase.
Contribute to technical due diligence when code quality, architecture, or delivery risk is the question.

What we're looking for

Several years building and operating production software, not only feature work behind someone else's architecture.
Fluency in TypeScript, Python, or equivalent.
Cloud-native delivery: APIs, data stores, auth, CI/CD, and the operational basics.
You write for the next person, including the client team who will own it after we leave.
You have backbone in technical discussions and a bias for shipping.
Fluent with modern AI-assisted development tooling as part of how you build and ship software.

Nice to have

Full-stack product work (Next.js or similar) plus backend and systems depth.
Experience in early-stage environments or client-facing consulting.
Data- or AI-adjacent systems: pipelines, model serving, or evaluation tooling.
Staff-level instincts: you multiply others, not just your own output.
